We are seeking an experienced Physician specializing in Pediatrics to join our forward-thinking team at Legacy Missouri City - Texas Parkway. As part of a dynamic and innovative healthcare ecosystem, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of pediatric healthcare for children and adolescents under the age of 18. The National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Program offers up to $50,000 for every two years of service, while the Texas Physician Education Loan Repayment Program (PELRP) provides up to $180,000, valuing your commitment to serving medically underserved communities. Your expertise will be pivotal in evaluating, treating, and managing pediatric patients, ensuring holistic and continuous care.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a dedicated team at a large FQHQ, focusing on pediatric patients aged under 18 in a medically underserved community.
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations, treatments, and management of children and adolescents, attending to both acute and chronic health issues.
- Implement robust screening protocols for chronic diseases to ensure early detection and intervention.
- Provide clinical oversight and guidance for mid-level providers, fostering a collaborative and learning-focused environment.
- Participate in clinical or operations-related meetings after hours and remain available for on-call duties as required, showcasing flexibility and leadership in patient care.
Qualifications and Skills
- Doctorate degree from an accredited medical school (MD or DO) with Board Certification in Pediatrics.
- Active Texas medical licensure and a current DEA License.
- A minimum of 3 years of clinical practice experience post-residency, demonstrating leadership and management capability.
- Bilingual capabilities are preferred to better serve our diverse community.
